Hi everyone! Welcome to my adventure blog! Over the course of this project, I'm going to learn many small backpacking skills. I'm going to document my progress over the course of learning each one. Near the end of the project, I will include a video of the overnight trip I take to showoff my new skills. Assisting me in this process will be my awesome dad, who is a master of everything camping related. He'll supply me with videos, articles, and any other research materials he thinks I'll need to check out. The first post I make will be about setting up a tent! I've never done it on my own before, so I'm nervous. I'll show you guys my finished product (as well as a few failed attempts). Since I've never done any of these things by myself, my ability to do them independently will measure my progress.
I have been camping since I was three years old! Backpacking is a little newer to me; my first trip was seven years ago. But this whole time, I never picked up the skills necessary to continue camping when I grow up! My goal is to become proficient in these small skills in order to pass on my legacy and my love of wild places. By the end of this process, I'll be a decent backpacker. Maybe you'll pick up some skills, too!
I'm excited to go on this adventure with all of you!

This is the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, the site of my first backpacking trip!
Emmie! I love your goal and your motivation for your project! Definitely include videos and lots of pictures of your trip, and maybe how you pack for backpacking (I heard it's crazy expensive).
